Membership Services

JT&A maintains the membership roster, sending renewal notices according to the organization's policies. And we produce an annual membership directory or any other membership materials that the organization deems appropriate. We also coordinate mailings and process membership dues. Online membership services are also available from JT&A.

EXPERIENCE:

National NonPoint Source Federation
JT&A helped this organization start up, receiving its mail through a Kansas City post office box. A part-time staff member recorded membership data on a customized database, responded with the appropriate card and letter, and issued renewal notices. We responded to queries and requests through an 800 number for the Federation in our Washington office.

North American Lake Management Society
JT&A facilitated this organization's growth from 1982 through 1990 - first by creating a mail campaign to bring in membership, and then serving as the organization's national office. We recorded membership on a database, issued renewal notices, and responded to member queries and requests over several phone lines.

Newsletters, Magazines and Journals

JT&A can produce an organization's newsletter or magazine - we solicit articles, coordinate reviews, write, edit and design. We can even sell advertising to produce the needed revenue for the publication.

EXPERIENCE:

Runoff Report
JT&A created this quarterly newsletter for the National NonPoint Source Federation in 1993. In 1994, Runoff Report became bimonthly and opened its circulation to general subscriptions.

Lake Line
JT&A founder Judith Taggart created, wrote and produced this newsletter for the North American Lake Management Society as a volunteer in 1981. In 1984, JT&A assumed responsibility. Over the years, Lake Line grew from four, to 12, to 16 pages. It became a bimonthly at the request of the organization's members, who saw it as the major membership benefit. Eventually, JT&A developed Lake Line into a magazine.

Lake and Reservoir Management
JT&A developed this journal from a proceedings for the North American Lake Management Society. JT&A secured an editor, set up procedures for submission and peer review of papers, edited the journal and managed the production.

JT&A created, wrote and designed several annual reports for the society, using photographs taken by our staff.

JT&A designed, edited and produced this organization's first annual report and continues to produce these reports for this prestigious organization.

Annual Conferences, Meetings

JT&A's conference division is adept at meeting your association's needs. A coordinator works hand-in-hand with you to identify the tasks that will best complement the capabilities of your own staff. And if you don't have a conference staff, JT&A will fill that niche. JT&A coordinators do far more than just handle logistics - we are interested in your programs, and we apply that interest to further your goals as we help you produce successful meetings.

EXPERIENCE:

A corporate environmental management group
JT&A assisted this organization structure its first conference six years ago, and continues to provide full coordination and management services for these conferences.

International produce association
JT&A supports this very large conference and trade show with logistical management, registration and on-site coordination.

National NonPoint Source Federation
JT&A assists the Federation's executive director plan a spring symposium and an annual meeting. One coordinator works closely with the Federation to develop these events, which include producing the announcement and other materials.

North American Lake Management Society
For a number of years, JT&A planned and managed the society's annual meetings. We handled all the promotional mailings, the call for papers, the interaction with speakers, the registration and on-site management. We also secured major speakers from the Administration.
