Contact JT&A

JTA Home

Since 1984, JT&A has successfully organized events that range from meetings for 20 to conferences attracting over 1,000 to missile demonstrations in Alaska and New Mexico. These conferences have taken us all over the United States and abroad including Asia and Europe. We are well-known for executing the "Cadillac" of conferences and events with the highest detail to quality. Some of our specific experience is provided below.

In recent years, JT&A has chosen to focus on its flagship conference, the National Mitigation & Ecosystem Banking Conference, held annually each spring  (see www.mitigationbankingconference.com).

However we will explore and consider additional projects and partnerships.   Please contact Carlene Bahler at carlene@jtainc.com should you have a project or partnership for us to consider.

Conference, Meeting, Seminar Experience

NATIONAL CONFERENCES

A corporate environmental management group
JT&A has assisted a major national organization in developing its annual conferences into an event that has become a hallmark for the corporate environmental world. Conference preparations have included developing the initial announcement - designed as a poster - semifinal and final programs; developing conference evaluation and registration forms; producing name badges; screening, selecting and negotiating hotel sites; securing and guiding speakers; coordinating with exhibitors; handling registration; providing on-site management; and producing the conference proceedings.

Fortune 500 Company-wide environmental conference
In 1994 JT&A was asked to assist with a Fortune 500 company's first ever company-wide environmental conference, an event that drew more than 400 participants from all sectors of the company. We helped structure the program, worked with company and outside presenters, designed and produced conference material and assisted with logistics. The conference was so successful it has become a biannual event.

International produce association
JT&A has established itself as part of the team for the second year in a row with this international annual conference and trade show that draws over 1,400 attendees and exhibitors. JT&A supports the association with registration and logistical and on-site management.

INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCES

International Conference on Toxics Release Inventory
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency

JT&A coordinated this international conference held in Vienna, Austria. Designed to educate the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development and the European Community countries on the advantages of using the Toxic Release Inventory, the conference necessitated complex computer and satellite hookups. JT&A successfully arranged for computers and printers on-site by locating a reputable company in Europe that could meet EPA's needs and budgetary requirements.

International Pulp & Paper Symposium
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency

Our third symposium for EPA's Toxics Division, this conference succeeded largely because of JT&A's ability to handle complicated situations: the federal government's requirements to meet the exact paper and ink requirements for conference materials, intense opposition from the industry that resulted in several cancellations and reschedulings, and of course, the usual complex arrangements for international visitors and multimedia presentations.

International Conference on Paint Stripping
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency

Attendance totaled around 500 at this three-day international conference sponsored by EPA's Toxics Division. This conference involved extensive liaison with international guests, including meeting guests at the airport and ensuring a comfortable stay in the nation's capital.

Marketing Workshops, a grain marketing association
Over a nine-month period, JT&A planned and conducted workshops in the Middle East, Asia and South America to help sell U.S. grain abroad. The workshops required complex negotiations with hotels and vendors in each country, arranging transportation for U.S. speakers - and in all logistics - understanding and working within the culture and language of the area.

BRIEFINGS, DEMONSTRATIONS, SPECIAL EVENTS

Aerospace companies and the United States Army
JT&A assists with coordinating briefings and demonstrations for aerospace companies working with the U.S. Army. Our first such event in September 1990 in West Palm Beach, Florida, included coordinating with the hotel, on-site management and transportation arrangements.

In 1992 and 1993, JT&A assisted with larger events -- demonstrations of weapons systems on the test ranges in New Mexico, along with meetings in El Paso, Texas. We worked with the hotel, handled the exhibits, produced portfolios and the final agenda, and provided on-site management. This complex event involved coordinating rigorous schedules for international participants, who viewed demonstrations held on two test ranges in New Mexico.
In 1995, JT&A coordinated Safe Air '95, an even more complex event in Fairbanks, Alaska, that drew foreign dignitaries from 14 countries around the world. JT&A arranged on and off-base housing, produced all conference materials, secured photographers, arranged for transportation and airfare contracts, coordinated an extensive trade show, and performed many other logistical details.
Our most recent event was in 1998 where JT&A assisted the Norwegian Airforce in the demonstration and testing of their NASAMS Systems. JT&A oversaw all coordination, transportation, invitations and a wide array of special arrangements.

A national health care organization
JT&A has coordinated this organization's annual and special meetings since 1988. This involves negotiating meeting and food space, usually in Washington's first-class hotels, coordinating on-site logistics and producing conference materials. JT&A's first project for this national organization of providers, companies and professionals was coordinating a series of 17 one-day meetings with key medical professionals and civic leaders in cities throughout the nation. Coordination involved providing total management services, from negotiating with the host facility to coordinating on-site. Each meeting attracted an average of 300 people and included press conferences and one-on-one meetings with local government officials.

REGIONAL MEETINGS, PUBLIC HEARINGS, WORKSHOPS

Government Agencies, Private Organizations
Each year, JT&A manages approximately 25 meetings all over the world, drawing some 20 to 150 attendees. Each meeting is different in its intended audience, size and purpose. For one week-long meeting of 80 invited participants, we arranged for the computer-recording of five concurrent workshops each day, edited the results each night and delivered a transcript to each attendee the following morning. At the conclusion, we produced a proceedings that was a synopsis of the entire week's discussions. For another meeting, JT&A helped assemble the invitee and speaker lists, provided facilitators and created all the materials (including a digest of the Clean Water Act) - with less than six weeks lead time.
