Judith F. Taggart Founder and Owner Even before she established JT&A, Judith F. Taggart was known for translating technical and scientific materials into citizen language. She built on that reputation as she carefully selected JT&A staff with the expertise to continue and expand what has become a public outreach niche for JT&A. Mrs. Taggart has a master's degree in journalism and extensive experience in newspaper, magazine and television journalism, sharpened even further by her college teaching. Carlene T. Bahler President Carlene T. Bahler joined JT&A as administrator in the fall of 1990, following a career in the Foreign Agricultural Service. She has served at the U.S. embassy in East Berlin and with the Special Trade Representative's Office in Geneva. Mrs. Bahler has significantly improved JT&A's management, instituting a sophisticated computerized accounting system that efficiently tracks projects and budgets, and refining personnel and office procedures. Lura T. Svestka Senior Vice President As publications director, Lura T. Svestka manages the production of all publications. She develops production schedules and tracks the work flow through editors, proofreaders and artists to ensure its completion on schedule. Mrs. Svestka leads the design and typesetting staff and interacts with printers and direct mail houses. Her experience also includes coordinating conference registrations, managing membership lists for various organizations and producing a bi-monthly revenue-generating magazine for a nonprofit organization. email address: lsvestka@erols.com
Debra G. Rapone Vice President, Services Division Debra G. Rapone heads up JT&A's service division with a solid background in adult education and learning, workforce training, program development and association management. Rapone has served as director of education for a large trade association, developing and implementing seminars, workshops and conferences and designing educational materials for members and their customers. Teren MacLeod Vice President, EnviroScape Division Teren MacLeod, responsible for JT&A's EnviroScape division, has over 20 years experience in communications, advertising and marketing strategies, media management and community relations, including consensus-building activities and presentations and publications in local, national and international forums. Prior to joining JT&A, inc., MacLeod created and implemented communication, marketing and education programs in the solid waste management industry, where she received recognition for award-winning programs and curriculum development projects. email address: enviroscape@waypt.com
